WSIS Forum 2023 selected sessions
The World Summit on the Information Society Forum (WSIS Forum) 2023, organized by ITU, UNESCO, UNDP and UNCTAD, was held from 13–17 March at the International Conference Centre Geneva (CICG) in Geneva, with the support of remote participation. The theme of the WSIS Forum 2023 is WSIS Action Lines for building back better and accelerating the achievement of the SDGs.
This year’s Forum was a highly successful event with over 2,700 participants attending both onsite and remotely. The forum comprised over 250 sessions and attracted participants from more than 150 countries worldwide.
WSIS Forum 2023 highlighted the importance of and suggested specific solutions for digital to be inclusive, sustainable and people-centric; benefit all; and be leveraged to rescue the Sustainable Development agenda.
WSIS Process continues to be a live example of the United Nations family working as one and bringing all the stakeholders together for meaningful digital cooperation. Virtual workshops will continue in April & May. The next edition of WSIS Forum will be held in Geneva on 27-31 May 2024.
