IP gender gap in the Americas region

WIPO in collaboration with Invent Together is organizing a series of Online Seminars with IP Offices and Innovation Stakeholders on IP Gender Gap across the regions.

Join us for the launch of the first series, which will focus on the Americas region, on October 13-14th, 2021.

The virtual seminars will bring together stakeholders in the innovation ecosystem about the IP gender gap, with the goal to raise awareness, evaluate it quantitatively and qualitatively, and discuss policies and other actions that show promise in addressing it.
Panel I – High-level policy panel on IP gender gap in the Americas region
Panel I brings together policymakers from the Americas region to discuss the importance of designing policies to address the IP gender gap, and engaging women’s participation in the innovation ecosystem.

Panel II – IP Economists panel : The challenges of measuring and analyzing the gender gap in the Americas region

Panel II highlights the approaches and methodologies employed by the Chief Economists’ departments across the IP Offices, including from Canada, Chile, United Kingdom and the United States. This technical panel will discuss the challenges in measuring and analyzing the IP gender gap.
