Workshop on Assessing the Readiness of the Energy Sector to Implement Smart Digital Energy-Efficient Technologies in Belarus in View of Climate Change Mitigation in Belarus

Digital solutions enable advances in connectivity, data, and analytics, and can greatly increase overall efficiency of energy systems and facilitate the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals. Digital innovations offer new ways of addressing challenges in the overall energy delivery process, in addition to energy efficiency specifically, and of finding innovative ways to address them.

The objectives of the Workshop are:

• Present findings of the projects and studies on digitalization and electric mobility implemented by UNECE and UNDP and Department of Energy Efficiency of the State Committee on Standardization of Belarus
• Share experience of selected countries in the UNECE region in digitalization and electric mobility
• Discuss the applicability of the conclusions and recommendations of the studies developed under the projects to the context of Belarus.
