The presentation will discuss the impact of the US-China trade war on technology and global value chains. It will discuss the tit-for-tat regulations that are technology-related, the competition in international standard setting processes and their importance and likely impact on both future technology and global value chains.  It will also discuss the importance of data transfers for global value chains and how data policies affect GVC operations.

Additionally, this will be an opportunity to inform on the main findings of the new UNIDO Industrial Development Report 2022 and the mega-trends with respect to GVCs.
