Accelerating SDG achievement through digital transformation to strengthen community resilience in Micronesia

The United Nations (UN) has been committed to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by 2030. Achieving these goals requires a significant number of resources and collaborative efforts from all stakeholders, including the government, private sector, and civil society. To facilitate the achievement of these goals, the Joint Programme on Accelerating SDG achievement through digital transformation to strengthen community resilience in Micronesia shall be launched online.
The Joint Programme funded by the Joint SDG Fund shall be led by the United Nations Resident Coordinator (UNRC) of Micronesia in collaboration with different Partner United Nations Organizations (PUNOs), namely, the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), the International Labour Organization (ILO), the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), the United Nations International Children's Emergency Fund (UNICEF), the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS), and the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC). It covers five Micronesian countries, including Federated States of Micronesia, Kiribati, Republic of the Marshall Islands, Nauru and Palau.
The Joint Programme operations has kicked off last quarter of 2022 and this online launch is the first public activity to commemorate, celebrate, and share the plans ahead----that aims to encourage further collaborations and partnerships with various stakeholders.
