High integrity digital identity is a foundational capability for international trade. Whether for customs authorities to reduce illicit trade, or for financial institutions to improve access to trade fiance, or to increase confidence in sustainabilty claims. This session will discuss the synergies between self-soverign identities such as W3C DIDs and authoritative identities such as maintained by national business and trademark registers. These are not competing alternatives but rather parterns that can add value to each other.
