Through the ITU160 Gender Champions initiative, on the occasion ITU’s 160th Anniversary, the Government of Canada is partnering with ITU to bring to Geneva nine young women (ages 18–25) working in digital development and digital transformation worldwide.
This initiative will cover their travel and accommodations in Geneva, where they will participate in the WSIS+20 High-Level Event, the AI for Good Global Summit, and ITU’s 160th Anniversary commemorations from 7–11 July 2025.
As an ITU 160 Gender Champion, you will:
Engage
Engage with key stakeholders in the digital and tech sectors
Amplify
Amplify your work in digital development and digital transformation, by actively participating in a variety of sessions and activities
Co-design & facilitate
Co-design and facilitate with your unique perspective, a workshop on promoting gender equality in digital transformation
Young women are invited to apply to be ITU160 Gender Champions
Recognizing the intersectionality and the need for diverse voices in shaping our digital future, young women from developing countries, least developed countries, landlocked developing countries and small island development states, as well as young indigenous women, and young women with disabilities, are particularly encouraged to apply for this opportunity.
