Given the need to bridge the digital divide at the national and international levels, ESCWA and the Ministry of Digital Economy and Innovation (MDENI) in Djibouti organized a national capacity-building workshop on policies of digital government and emerging technologies.

The workshop, held on 3 February, was attended by representatives from public institutions involved in the development and implementation of digital policies and projects. It included presentations on key concepts of digital transformation and emerging technologies, as well as discussions on selected international and regional related indicators.

The workshop highlighted experiences from selected countries both from the Arab region and beyond, in developing related plans and roadmaps.
