ITU Regional Development Forum for CIS (RDF-CIS) 2024

The ITU Regional Development Forum for CIS (RDF-CIS) organized by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) and hosted by the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovation, and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The Forum will take place from 26 to 27 of March 2024 at Astana Hub in Astana, Kazakhstan.
The Regional Development Forum for CIS provides an opportunity for the exchange of views between ITU Member States, Sector Members, partners, and other stakeholders. RDF-CIS offers an opportunity for matchmaking regional as well as country specific priorities and partners' pledges as announced since the launch of the Partner2Connect Digital Coalition at the World Telecommunication Development Conference in Kigali, Rwanda. The overall aim is to convert pledges into concrete commitments that will lead to the implementation of impactful projects in line with the priorities outlined in the Kigali Action Plan (KAP), including Regional Initiatives.
RDF-CIS will also provide an opportunity for the ITU's Telecommunication Development Bureau (BDT) to report on the progress that has been made towards implementing the outcomes of the World Telecommunication Development Conference 2022 (WTDC-22) so far, including the Regional Initiatives for CIS Region.
Partner2Connect at RDF-CIS
A special segment of the RDF will be dedicated to the Partner2Connect Digital Coalition regional roundtables and their matchmaking process. This segment will offer an opportunity to Members and stakeholders to express their commitments based on contributions or pledges aimed at addressing country needs in the CIS Region, with the goal of advancing digital development and implementation of the Regional Initiatives.
Call for contributions
The Telecommunication Development Bureau (BDT) through the ITU Regional Office for CIS, is launching a call for the contributions on their priorities to be presented during the RDF for consideration by participants and partners. Member States and Partners are encouraged to submit their commitments aligned with country and regional priorities to be used as a basis for discussions, by filling in the template for contributions and submitting to: [email protected], no later than 15 March 2024. All contributions received will be posted on the RDF website.
