Promoting workers’ well-being and sustainable enterprises through digital wage payments: Experiences from the garment industry in Jordan and Egypt

The ILO’s Global Centre on Digital Wages for Decent Work, the Better Than Cash Alliance, Better Work and BSR organize an online event on 23 March, “Promoting workers’ well-being and sustainable enterprises through digital wage payments Experiences from the garment industry in Jordan and Egypt”.

During this session, we will discuss how responsible digital wage payments can contribute to workers’ empowerment, financial inclusion, and sustainable enterprises, creating benefits for workers and employers and across the ecosystems. We will also hear about good practices in the garment industry in Jordan and Egypt to transitioning to responsible digital wages through the framework of the UN Principles for Responsible Digital Payments. The event is also a chance to learn more about achieving impact at scale through coordination partnerships, at national and regional level and across industries.
