The training is hosted by expert trainers from Sustainable Business Consulting in Kenya and B Lab East Africa.

What will be covered?

  • Wednesday 18 August: Energy efficiency and sustainable data storage (Understand the principles of energy and energy efficiency, Gain an understanding of energy management opportunities (EMO’S), Assess energy efficiency solutions to maximize ROI, How to measure and reduce energy consumption)
  • Wednesday 1 September: ICT Sustainability Standards (Importance of measuring environmental impact, Tracking and measuring environmental impact: Examples of Impact Measurement Tools, Standards and certifications in ICT areas)
  • Wednesday 8 September: Electronic Waste Management (E-Waste and its impact, E-waste management specific regulations, End of life management of E-waste)

Why is it important?

When your company adopts practices and policies to reduce negative environmental impact, you do not just lower your company’s carbon footprint and become more resilient, but also reduces office costs, ensure corporate social responsibility, anticipate regulation and attract impact investment.
