The course “Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI): Fundamentals for the Public Service in Latin America and the Caribbean” aims to contribute to develop the fundamental knowledge to use GenAI in a safe and responsible manner in the context of the public service.

The course highlights the importance of using this technology, considering its vertiginous penetration in all areas, and aims to sensitize those who exercise public functions, about the need to use it critically, recognizing its potential, but also its limitations and risks, and above all, ensuring its ethical use, in order to preserve equality, equity, diversity, confidentiality, data security and privacy, as well as respect for human rights.

Upon completion of the course you will be able to identify the operating characteristics of the Gen AI; you will recognize the considerations for its safe and responsible use; and you will have the basis for using this technology in your work context.
