Expert Workshop on the Sectoral Cybersecurity Maturity Model
The World Bank’s DD Global Practice invites you to participate in an invitation-only expert workshop on the Sectoral Cybersecurity Maturity Model (SCMM), part of the broader CIP Day. During this workshop, interested World Bank staff and external cybersecurity experts and practitioners will learn about the need and context for the development of this new innovative approach to assessing and improving the cyber resilience of critical sectors, as well as engage with the authors of the methodology and discuss how to implement this diagnostic tool and explore the use cases that informed its development.
The workshop will consist of two modules:
- Module 1: Overview of the Sectoral Cybersecurity Maturity Model (SCMM) – 11am-12:30pm
Deep dive into the SCMM and its key elements, followed by a discussion with sectoral experts on the application of the SCMM methodology in the countries where this diagnostic tool was piloted.

During this interactive module, participants will delve into the specific phases and processes for the application of the SCMM to a sectoral assessment and discuss the lessons learned from the pilots previously conducted.
