eTrade for Women Masterclass for Francophone Africa | Unleashing Potential: Women Entrepreneurs and Africa’s Digital Transformation

Digital transformation offers growth opportunities for African businesses, but women entrepreneurs still face obstacles to successfully grow their businesses. The eTrade for Women initiative, championed by the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), invites women entrepreneurs in the digital and e-commerce sector from 17 countries from francophone Africa to its Masterclass on 16-19 April 2024, in Dakar, Senegal. The Masterclass is organized in partnership with Birame Sock, Founder and CEO of Kwely, and eTrade for Women Advocate for the region.

Who can apply to the Masterclass?

  • In order to apply to the Masterclass, you need to meet the following requirements:
  • You are a woman and you are the founder/co-founder of your business
  • You have a track record of 2 to 5 years in this role
  • New technologies and digital tools are at the heart of your business model and operations
  • You are based in one of the following countries :
    • Benin, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Chad, Congo-Brazzaville (RC), Congo-Kinshasa (DRC),
  • Côte d’Ivoire, Djibouti, Gabon, Guinea, Mali, Mauritania, Niger, Senegal, Togo
  • You want to make a difference and impact your ecosystem​
