Cross-border E-commerce and the ASEAN DEFA Negotiations: Negotiating Outcomes and Implementation Issues

This panel discussion aims to explore a forward-looking agenda for leveraging paperless trade to enhance cross-border e-commerce for consideration in the development of the ASEAN Digital Economy Framework Agreement (DEFA). Bringing together thought leaders, policymakers, and industry experts, the discussion will delve into key issues relevant to de-veloping an ASEAN e-commerce ecosystem powered by paperless trade that fosters inno-vation, enhances competitiveness, and promotes inclusive economic growth in ASEAN. This workshop is part of the capacity building component of the ASEAN Digital Economy Agreement Leadership (ASEAN DEAL) project supported by the ASEAN-Korea Cooperation Fund (AKCF).

This event is organized as a part of the Paperless Trade Week 2024, led by the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP), in collaboration with the World Economic Forum (WEF).
