The Digital Connectivity Cluster of the Commonwealth Connectivity Agenda is organising its second ‘Deep Dive Session’ on the topic ‘ICT Infrastructure Development Policy: Supporting Data Innovation and Digital Trade’.

This virtual event will showcase the multi-sectoral perspectives of digital trade and provide an assessment of the policies required for the promotion of data innovation and digital trade, particularly for developing countries. The session is intended to foster candid and open discussions among member states. The event includes two parts:

Session 1 – Presentation by Commonwealth Secretariat: An Assessment of Digital Infrastructure

During this Session a presentation will be made by a representative of the Commonwealth Secretariat on the paper: “An Assessment of Digital Infrastructure Divide in the Commonwealth”. The presentation will elaborate on the role of ICT infrastructure which is required for data innovation and digital trade.

Session 2 – Multi-sectoral Panel Discussion: Essential Elements for ICT Infrastructure Development Policy: Supporting Data Innovation and Digital Trade

This session showcases the multi-sectoral perspectives of digital trade. It assesses the policies required for the promotion of data innovation and digital trade, particularly for developing countries.
