The Arab Entrepreneurship Award celebrates innovation and excellence across distinct tracks, each focused on advancing different aspects of entrepreneurship in the Arab region. The 2024 award revolves around four tracks aimed at recognizing and supporting small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) that are making significant contributions to regional development through technology, ecommerce, inclusivity, and sustainability.

Track 1: Digital & Emerging Technologies for Development We are seeking SMEs that are leveraging the latest technologies to address regional challenges and drive economic growth. This track is dedicated to businesses at the forefront of technological innovation and development in the Arab region.

Track 2: Excellence in E-Commerce This track recognizes and promotes SMEs driving innovation and expansion in the digital marketplace. We are looking for companies that have developed or implemented outstanding e-commerce strategies or solutions, enhancing cross-border trade, improving scalability, and ensuring seamless online business operations.

Track 3: Inclusive Futures for All Aiming to promote and recognize the creativity, entrepreneurship, and innovation of people with disabilities in the Arab business community, this track seeks SMEs either founded or run by individuals with disabilities, or offering products or services designed to benefit people with disabilities.

Track 4: Green Excellence Focused on encouraging sustainable practices through innovative solutions, this track is dedicated to groundbreaking enterprises that significantly reduce environmental impact and promote sustainability across various sectors.

Who can participate?

The challenge is aimed exclusively at small and mediumsized companies headquartered in one of the 22 Arab countries. Participants must be Arab nationals. The SME must be legally registered and operating within the Arab region. The SME can be active in any business sector but must have demonstrated significant contributions relevant to the track theme. Evidence of success, such as awards, testimonials, or case studies, must be provided.

How to apply

Interested participants create an account on DEPAR first and log in. Then you can submit a detailed video description of your SME, its founding history, innovations, milestones achieved, and challenges overcome here. Applicants should outline their vision for the future and how they plan to leverage the theme-specific innovation for regional development. Submissions must include company credentials and relevant documentation to demonstrate the credibility and success of the SME. Please be advised that incomplete applications or those which cannot be verified (e.g., lacking a website or other necessary documentation) will not be considered for the award. Additionally, a video submission is mandatory. Please ensure that all required information and supporting documents, including the video, are provided so your application can be properly reviewed and validated.

The application deadline is September 30, 2024. We can only consider complete submissions that include complete contact information and a proven track record of the company. Please note that this is not a funding opportunity for ideas, but a call for applications from existing companies.
