Meet Lennise
Lennise Ng is the co-founder and CEO of Dropee, a B2B buying and selling online marketplace that enables local businesses to get in touch with the right wholesale sellers in a better, faster, and smarter way across Southeast Asia.
Early Milestones and Business Development

After finishing up her higher studies, Lennise worked in different tech start-ups before joining the family business in the B2B wholesale sector. There, she spotted the need to modernize the sector, and shaped her vision of how digital technologies could help unlock the growth potential of small retailers. This is how Dropee was created in 2017.

Fast forward to today, Dropee services more than 2000 wholesale businesses across Southeast Asia and is working closely with each one of them in their B2B e-commerce strategy.

There is a need to encourage a lot more women in tech by starting conversations and building a community of female founders in the tech space.

Social Impact

Dropee’s main goal is to provide local shops with more possibility to get access to the right partners, to adapted tools and to financial opportunities such as credit financing and inventory management software.

Thanks to its AI-driven B2B marketplace, Dropee has contributed to the growth of more than 100,000 local stores and partners with thousands of brands and distributors across the Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) industry.

During the Covid-19 pandemic, Dropee partnered with government agencies and financial institutions, as well as its own SaaS platform, to help more small and medium businesses digitalize and access online wholesale at a fraction of the cost in Malaysia.

Recognition and Awards

Lennise has received multiple awards including the outstanding ASEAN Woman Entrepreneur Award (2019) and the Asset Asian Awards 2021. She is also a Forbes30Under30 (2020) Recipient and a Y Combinator alumni (2020). She was furthermore recognized at Forbes Asia 100 to Watch (2021), Outstanding Women Entrepreneur (2020/2021) by Malaysia Venture Capital Association, and Finalist at the EY Entrepreneur of the Year Award 2022. In addition, she received the Best Payment & Collection Solution (2021) award for her B2B wholesale marketplace Dropee.
