National digital accessibility policy in the UAE

ESCWA and the Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority (TDRA) in the United Arab Emirates organized a national workshop on a digital accessibility policy they drafted together to empower persons with disabilities to use technology tools, applications, and services.

The workshop, held on 17 January, highlighted the main concepts of digital accessibility policies, the ESCWA templates developed in the context of the Arab Digital Inclusion Platform (ADIP) project, and other related tools.

Examples of best regional and international practices in digital accessibility policies were also presented.
