Welcome to the April edition of the eTrade for all newsletter. Yet again a very special edition, for many of us are still under lockdown. This month we will take you first to the first edition of the virtual UNCTAD eWeek, which took place from 27 April to 1 May. If you weren’t able to join the 2’000+ participants from 134 countries attending the 14 live sessions, you can easily access the videos and sound recordings of these various sessions here: eweek2020.unctad.org
Then, we will offer you a snapshot of selected issues at stake due to the pandemic and how our partners are addressing them. Discover how the air cargo and the postal sector, two of the major sectors disrupted by COVID-19, are being challenged and to some extent, reinventing themselves. Just as is Youma Fall, a woman digital entrepreneur from Senegal and active member of the eTrade for Women community, who is experiencing a steady growth in her business opportunities by offering cashless payment solutions in West Africa. An interesting case of business resilience in the times of the pandemic.
