Expert Group Meeting (EGM) on Unleashing Digital Trade and Investment for Sustainable Development
The Expert Group Meeting (EGM) brings together selected experts to review the draft of the Asia-Pacific Trade and Investment Report (APTIR) 2023/2024. This report, themed “Unleashing Digital Trade and Investment for Sustainable Development,” is a collaborative effort between UNESCAP, UNCTAD, and UNIDO. The EGM’s primary goal is to gather feedback and propose key enhancements that would boost the depth and clarity of the draft report.
The report is designed mainly for policy drafters and makers from ministries that oversee trade and industry. Moreover, policy analysts, academic influencers, think tanks, development partners, and the private sector can gain valuable insights from the report. The report’s central objective is to guide policymakers in Asia-Pacific developing economies in the creation of robust strategies that will leverage digital trade and investment to fuel sustainable development.
