This year’s WIPR is about “The Geography of Innovation: Local Hotspots, Global Networks”. Drawing on millions of patent and scientific publication records, the Report offers insights on:
- The geography and interconnectivity of innovation in the 21st century
- How the global innovation network has evolved, against the background of a changing economic landscape and newly emerging technology
WIPO Director General Francis Gurry will open the launch event, which includes a presentation of the Report as well as a panel discussion on the future of global innovation networks and the role of innovation hotspots – such as Silicon Valley and Shenzhen – at the center of it.
Please register and bring a photo ID to join the discussion at our live event at the WIPO Headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland. Participation is free of charge.
Join us in Geneva on November 12, 2019, for the launch of the World Intellectual Property Report (WIPR) 2019.
