Bienvenido a nuestro boletín de Febrero

Dear all,

This month we open with a call to contribute to the series of deep-dives that are being organized to gather stakeholders opinions on the digital future that we want. This series of events, open to all stakeholders, will address some of the most pressing issues of our decade and will feed into the UN Secretary General’s Global Digital Compact. Learn more about how you can contribute and what are the next milestones here below.

Then we will also share some of the main findings from the first and newly released UNCTAD’s Digital Economy Report: Pacific Edition 2022. 8 of 10 of the smallest economies in the world are in the Pacific, which is still in the early stages of its digital transformation. Check out what are the main recommendations for a more inclusive digital economy- taking into account the specificities in terms of the smallness and remoteness of the islands.

And then check out the outcomes of the events organized by the World Customs Organization to discuss the challenge of calculating customs value in e-commerce, as well as the Declaration for the Advancement of Women in Latin America and the Caribbean, organized by ECLAC in collaboration with UN Women.

Enjoy the read!
